How do I stop selling tickets for a while without cancelling?
Pause sales. Your event page stays up, tickets already sold still work, and nobody can buy until you resume.
Pause an event
- Open your event.
- Tap Pause sales at the top, next to Edit event. You can also find it under Stop selling on the edit page.
- The dialog says "Your event page stays up, but nobody can buy tickets until you resume. Tickets already sold still work." Tap Pause sales to confirm, or Keep selling.
The event shows Sales paused, with who paused it and when. To start again, tap Resume sales. There is no dialog for that.
Pause one ticket type
On the Tickets tab, open the ticket type's menu and choose Pause this ticket type. The other ticket types keep selling. It shows Paused in the list; choose Resume this ticket type to bring it back. Under a paused event every ticket type reads Paused (event), and resuming the event doesn't resume a ticket type you paused on its own.
What fans see
The event page says "Ticket sales are paused." and "The organizer has paused sales for now. Tickets come back on this page when sales resume." The prices stay visible. A fan who was already paying when you paused can still finish; the dialog tells you how many are paying right now.
Things to know
- Pausing changes nothing else: quantities, prices and sale dates stay as they were.
- Every owner and admin gets an email when sales are paused or resumed. The subject starts "Sales paused:" or "Sales resumed:".
- Only the owner and admins can pause.
- Pausing isn't cancelling. Nobody is refunded. To refund everyone, cancel the event.
