When do ticket sales close for my event?
Online sales close 15 minutes before your event ends. After that, nobody can start a new order for it.
How we work out the end
| Your event has | Sales close |
|---|---|
| An end time | 15 minutes before the end time |
| A start time only | 15 minutes before 6 hours after the start (5 hours 45 minutes after the start) |
| No date yet | Sales don't close on their own |
Set the end time under Ends when you create or edit the event. If you leave it empty, we treat the event as 6 hours long.
Things to know
- Sales stay open while your event is on. Fans can buy during the event right up to the 15-minute mark.
- A fan who tries to buy after that sees: "This event has already ended; tickets are no longer on sale."
- Fans who started paying before the cutoff can still finish.
- Want to keep selling longer? Move the end time later. Once you've sold tickets, dates can only move later, not earlier.
Why 15 minutes
It's a safety margin. It makes sure every sale lands before the event is counted as over, which is when your new-organizer sales limit can lift.
