About Encore

Ticketing for real-world experiences, built so the checkout, the money and the customer list stay with the person running the event.

What Encore is

Encore is a ticketing and experience-commerce platform. Organizers create events, set their own prices, and sell to their own buyers on their own branded checkout. Encore is the software and the payments plumbing underneath it.

Today that means in-person, real-world experiences. Online-only and virtual events are not supported on the Platform.

What stays yours

  • The checkout. Buyers buy on your page, under your name.
  • The money. Card payments go to your own connected Stripe account. Encore is not the merchant of record. It is not a balance Encore holds on your behalf and hands back later.
  • The customer list. Every buyer, order, and attendee record belongs to you. Encore does not claim ownership of it, does not license it to anyone, and does not put another organizer’s event in front of the people who bought yours.

The fee

7% + $1 per paid ticket, added on top of the ticket price, and that is the whole of it. The card fee comes out of our fee rather than being added to the buyer’s bill, so there is no second charge at checkout. No plan tiers and no subscription. Free tickets are $0, on every way a ticket can be issued.

The buyer sees one number before they are asked to pay: the price the organizer set, plus our fee. The organizer is paid the price they set. The detail is on the pricing page, and the arithmetic is worked through on the organizers page.

What Encore is not

  • Not the seller of your ticket. The organizer is the buyer’s counterparty, and sets the event terms.
  • Not a business that sells your audience. Fans can browse public events, listed by date with no promoted placement or paid ranking. Encore never sells, shares or remarkets one organizer’s attendees to another.
  • Not a mailing list broker. Encore never markets one organizer’s attendees to another organizer, or to itself.

The company

Those brackets are not a design flourish. Encore has not published a legal entity or a registered address, and this page would rather show a gap than print a company name that does not exist. The email above is not in brackets because it is real.

The legal pages

The Terms of Service, Privacy Policy and Refund Policy are published as drafts. They have not been reviewed by an attorney and each carries a banner saying so.
