Can I run a free event?
Yes. Free events cost you and your fans nothing, and you can publish one today without setting up payouts.
- Create your event as usual.
- Under Tickets, tap Add free ticket, or type 0 as the price.
- Tap Publish.
The form shows Fan pays as zero and Free tickets carry no fee.
Things to know
- You don't need Stripe for a free event. Payouts are only for paid tickets.
- Each person can get up to 10 free tickets per event per day. The event page says so. Paid tickets aren't limited.
- Free tickets never count toward the new-organizer sales limit.
- A free-only event doesn't lift that limit either. Only a paid event does.
- You can mix free and paid ticket types in one event. The event then needs payouts set up before you can publish it.
- Free tickets scan at the door like any other ticket.
